We are thrilled to have donated a series of “grief libraries” to eight local schools this year. These libraries, selected with the help of local teachers and friends of the Foundation, feature books that explore a wide range of experiences with loss in a way that is accessible to young children.
We hope these stories will help young people develop the vocabulary to describe and understand their own loss, as well as the losses experienced by those around them. Addressing the taboo surrounding death, we are proud to contribute to bringing these conversations into classrooms, especially in the wake of the global pandemic when grief is more prevalent than ever.
A massive thank you to all the wonderful people who made this possible.
