About Patrick

Patrick died tragically following a skiing accident while on a family holiday in France in 2009.

In the year since Patrick’s passing, we were overwhelmed by the generosity of his family and friends, who raised over £20,000 for two charities close to his heart. This inspired us to establish a foundation in Patrick’s memory, ensuring his legacy continues to make a difference in others’ lives.

Patrick had a short but full life, embracing opportunities and living by his favorite motto, “carpe diem.” He died doing what he loved best. We remember Patrick as a fun-loving, exuberant individual who was the life of every party, yet also fiercely loyal, fair-minded, thoughtful, and endearing. His passion for sports, especially football, was a defining part of his vibrant personality.

We hope the mission of Patrick’s foundation reflects his concerns and can continue to bring some comfort from our personal tragedy.

The foundation aims to:

Promote and protect the physical and mental health of sufferers of physical disease or illness, particularly prostate cancer or kidney diseases, and support their families through financial assistance, support, education, and practical advice.

Relieve the mental and physical sickness and emotional upset caused by bereavement or loss through counseling, comfort, and support.

Relieve the poverty of young people by providing grants for healthy recreational activities they might not otherwise afford.

Advance public education and benefit by promoting awareness and safety in sport and recreational activities.
