Pints 4 Patrick to celebrate our first anniversary

To celebrate the end of our very successful first year, a crowd of supporters of ‘The Patrick Evans Foundation’ met in the ‘Goat‘ in Clapham to have a few ‘Pints 4 Patrick’.

We were delighted that so many people turned up and so many Pints were consumed. Without a doubt Patrick would have been very proud. A special thankyou to those friends who had come long distances, including Johno from Derby, Kat  and James from Birmingham, James from Liverpool, Nick from Manchester and Des Maguire all the way from Boston!!

Merry revellers celebrate with a Pint for Patrick

Due to the large number of people present it wasn’t possible on the night to thank everyone for their support over the last year. We would like to thank everyone who has walked, run, swam, cycled, sold or bought merchandise, sung, made, bought or eaten cakes, or done anything at all to raise money for us in the last year. Thanks also to all of you for your generous sponsorship for the above people. We are proud to be able to say that we have raised over £40.000 in our first year.

We are currently researching three of four possibilities for using our hard earned money. Within the next few months we hope to be able to buy a machine to help kidney disease diagnosis and research, to fund a leading international Geneticist in prostate cancer and to fund a campaign to increase awareness of G.P.’s regarding sarcoma cancers. As soon as we have made definite decisions we will be proud to let you all know.

Meanwhile, thankyou for all your support and thankyou to everyone for making ‘Pints 4 Patrick’ a night to remember. Thankyou for helping to let Patrick continue to make a positive influence in people’s lives.

Alun, Catherine, Louise, Rory, Hugo, Mike, Matt and Sean.
